New Castle County Senior Roll Call Lifeline is A Free service provided by the New Castle County Police Department. It is a daily telephone reassurance call made Seniors and the Disabled residing in New Castle County that checks on their personal safety. It allows our members to remain independent while giving care givers and loved ones peace of mind. Senior Roll Call Lifeline was started in 1995,

by then, Colonel Thomas P. Gordon, and the system has helped make countless “saves” for individuals who have suffered a debilitating injury or ailment leaving them unable to help themselves. The program is supported by volunteers. The monitor listens to the calls that are made by an automated dialer. We listen for distressed voices, answering machines, no answers and busy signals. The volunteer than will take steps until we make contact with the subscriber or send assistance.
