Hello everyone. We are announcing the Final Formation Flight for Soldiers of the Bravo Company 7-158th GSAB that will happen on Sunday September 7th, 2025.
Takeoff will occur at 10:00 am on Sunday, September 7th, 2025. The filght will be departing New Century Air Center. The Flight path will include the greater Kansas City area.
Why are we doing this? The Army Reserve Aviation Command’s rotary-wing assets will be inactivated in accordance with Army Transition Initiative (ATI) EXORD 222-25 effective September 15, 2026. As part of this transition, the Soldiers – both part-time and full-time – of Bravo Company 7-158th GSAB will conduct a final formation flight. This serves as a last showcase for family, friends, and the Gardner community, expressing gratitude for the enduring support throughout the unit’s service. Approximately 4,000 service members across the Army Reserve Aviation Command will be impacted.

There will be Food Trucks, Tumbleweed On Wheels and Rivera's Tacos, located in the parking area and you will be able to get up close to the Chinooks after the flight. We look forward to seeing you and celebrating the long history of this unit.
