Dear DCITP Family,

It looks like our famous magic weather umbrella only works during the summer, and that Mother Nature had other plans for this weekend. Unfortunately with some very windy, cold, and rainy weather in the forecast for both Saturday and Sunday, we've made the difficult decision to cancel the Early Bird Picnic.
We know this is very disappointing for everyone and we had worked tirelessly to get the camp looking better than ever for you to enjoy. We will explore trying to reschedule for another weekend if possible.

A huge thank you to everyone who has participated in the Early Bird Program which still saves you $600 off each camper, plus also gives you schedule flexibility by allowing you to change your weeks until May 2027! There are still 5 days left to register! Please email us with any questions.

We again apologize for the disappointing news. Stay safe and dry this weekend!

Missing camp as much as we are? We knew we would be, that's why throughout the summer we wrote some letters to our future selves - reminding us of some of our favorite days we had, favorite activities, maybe even some inspiration or goals for the coming school year. Be on the lookout when you check the mail, your camper may have sent themselves one too!

As we look back on the endless giggles and epic cheers through our past summer, we are reminded of what truly makes Day Camp in the Park so special. This season was filled with hilarious, joyful memories, timid new campers turning into lifelong besties, and kids stepping into their own confidence as they tried new things and developed new skills. Yet, the most wonderful surprise is that no matter how many summers we host, we always walk away feeling our community is stronger than ever before. closed our Staff Talent Show with a rendition of Linger (one of our newer traditional songs at camp), and a whole crew of campers who had never even heard it before began to join in to help celebrate the DCITP magic.

The way campers cheer each other on, the dedication of our staff, and the support of our camp families remind us exactly why we do what we do. We might be packing away the supplies for the season, but behind the scenes, we are already prepping to make next year even better! Thank you for an unforgettable summer— Do us a favor! Ask your camper what their absolute favorite memory was and let us know in the comments!
