The Office of the County Clerk, under the direction of Donna Silberman, provides many vital services to the public that impact the lives of thousands of county residents. These services include: processing of passport applications, business certificates, notary public commissions and pistol licenses. We also record, file and store all county land records and court documents. Some of our noteworthy

accomplishments are:
·Over $1.5 million of grant funds received.
·Utilize latest technology to improve operations, increase public conveniences and cut costs.
·Developed “Return the F.A.V.O.R.” Veteran Discount Program, “Rockland S.A.V.E.S. Lives” Volunteer Emergency Services Discount Program and “Rockland County Unites to Donate Life” Organ Donor Program.
·Provides Small Business Development and Notary Public preparation seminars.
·Produces and disseminates Ready Reference Guide, a comprehensive directory of Rockland County agencies and resources.
·Provide excellent customer service through a “convenient one-stop shopping” approach. This includes extended office hours, mobile services, E-Z pass tags and money order sales, ATM on premises, public drop box, public designated parking spaces, and 24/7 Internet access to records, forms and information through comprehensive website, www.rocklandcountyclerk.com

The County Clerk’s Office is deeply saddened by the passing of our dear friend, Lauren Shields.

Lauren was an extraordinary young woman whose courage, kindness, and unwavering dedication to organ donation advocacy touched countless lives. As an organ transplant recipient, she turned her personal journey into a mission to inspire others to register as organ donors, giving hope to so many.

Her advocacy through LiveOnNY and her tireless efforts led to the passage of Lauren’s Law, creating a lasting legacy that will continue to save lives for generations to come.

Lauren also played a special role in our Naturalization Ceremonies, where she shared her powerful story with our newest citizens. Her heartfelt message inspired so many to register as organ donors, and her warmth and compassion left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

We are grateful to have known Lauren and to have witnessed the incredible impact she made. Her legacy will live on through the lives she touched and the lives she helped save.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Lauren’s family, friends, and all who loved her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
