A reminder that our lobby will be closing at noon today and reopening at 8:00 am Monday January 3rd. Officers will be available 24-hours a day and can be reached by calling 911 if needed.

We wish everyone a happy New Year, and want to remind everyone to celebrate New Year's Eve responsibly. If you will be drinking, please don't drive. The risk of doing so is not worth it, so plan ahead and have a designated driver. Also please be considerate of your neighbors if you have a party or are legally setting off consumer fireworks.

As we reflect on 2021, we again want to thank the residents of Fairview Township for your support throughout this past year. Over this holiday season we were overwhelmed with various cards and gifts including cookies, popcorn and even gift cards for local restaurants. Your support and generosity is truly appreciated and we look forward to serving you in the upcoming year.

Thank you to everyone who has already dropped off toys for the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots campaign. These toys will go to some less fortunate kids in the local area to try and make their Christmas a little more special. We will be collecting toys through Monday December 13th, so there is still time to help. Please remember that the toys should be new and unwrapped.

There is a drop box in our lobby, which is open Monday-Friday, 8:00am -4:30pm. If you can't make it during that time, please call the station at 717-901-5267 during normal business hours and we will arrange for an officer to stop by your home or business to pick up the gifts.

Fairview Township Police No Shave November 2021

Fairview Township Police Department's No Shave November is in full swing and you will begin seeing some officers with beards. This exemption to our dress code policy is all about raising money for a good cause- Children's Miracle Network Hershey.

So far we have raised over $6,000, but we have a long way to go to reach our $15,000 goal. While finances are tight for many people right now, if you are able, please consider donating. Any amount is appreciated, and all funds go to this great organization that helps local families going through a very difficult time.

We are seeing an increase in vehicle collisions with deer. Sometimes there is just nothing you can do to avoid it, but please drive with a little extra caution.

🦌 Why did the buck cross the road? To chase the doe on the other side.

Seriously though, deer rut or breeding season, is underway in Pennsylvania and adult bucks are beginning to travel in search of does. Many yearling bucks are dispersing from the areas in which they were born and may travel miles to find new home ranges.

All of this movement can be dangerous to motorists, especially during dawn and dusk. Please stay alert when driving during these times and slow down when driving in rural areas.
