With the start of swimming season right around the corner, time to start thinking about water safety. It's important that children and adults learn the skills of water competency - being able to enter the water, get a breath, stay afloat, change position, swim a distance and then get out of the water safely. Also, if you own a pool or spa, make sure it has an appropriate 4-sided barrier or fence surrounding it.

Tree-of-heaven is the preferred host for the #SpottedLanternfly, which threatens Pennsylvania’s agricultural and timber products.

Its fast growth limits habitat for other species, and its extensive root system and tolerance of poor soils can result in tree growth through cracks in pavement and damage to sewer lines and building foundations.
