🦁💚 Have you noticed something a little extra special about Friday mornings? 💛🦁

Our Lion Buddies from the high school have been making their way over to the elementary to help our littlest Lions kick off their Fridays with a smile! 🙌

High fives, fist bumps, big smiles, and words of encouragement are waiting for our students as they arrive, and there’s just something special about being greeted by the big Lions they look up to! 💚💛

A huge thank you to Mr. Hernandez and our high school Lion Buddies for partnering with the elementary and taking the time to pour into our kiddos. These may seem like small moments, but seeing a familiar face cheering them on first thing in the morning can make a BIG difference in a little Lion’s day! 🦁✨

Some of our Lions recently went the extra mile—literally!—by participating in a cross country meet at LCU! 💚💛

A big shout-out to Coach Wade, who is always encouraging our students to stay active, challenge themselves, and understand the importance of keeping their bodies strong and healthy.

We are so proud of these Lions for going above and beyond to build healthy habits, push themselves, and proudly represent New Deal! 🦁💪

🦁💚 Welcome to New Deal Elementary, Ms. Sue! 💛🦁

We are excited to introduce Megan Sue, our newest Communities In Schools Site Coordinator! Ms. Sue will be working alongside our students, families, and staff to provide support, connect families with helpful resources, and help our Lions be successful both in and out of the classroom.

If your child will be participating in the Homecoming Parade, please check them out through the front office by 2:45 p.m. If someone other than a parent/guardian will be checking your child out, please send a note to the front office in advance letting us know who is authorized to pick them up. This will help us make sure your child is released to the correct adult.

If you need to check your child out for any other reason or event that afternoon, please plan to do so before 2:45 p.m., as all students and staff will be off campus after that time supporting our Lions at the parade. 💚💛🦁

🚗🚌 Need to make a change to how your child gets home?

For the safety of our students, all transportation changes need to be communicated by a parent or guardian. If we do not receive communication from an adult, your child will follow their normal dismissal routine for the day. While students may sometimes tell us about a change, we want to make sure we have confirmation from an adult so everyone is on the same page. 💚
