We hope you enjoy your summer as our members take some well-deserved R&R during July and August. We will resume book donation collections in September in preparation for our sale in 2027 (first Saturday of the month during September through November and April through June, 9 a.m. until 12:45 p.m., unless otherwise noted, at the trailer behind the library on Evergreen Road). Regarding our sale, we welcome your suggestions on what we can do better. Please be constructive in your comments.

Another used book sale in the books, so to speak. It was a wonderful success. Thank you to our patrons. And thank you to the many of you who rounded up and gave a little extra donation. It warms our hearts to see your smiling faces as you leave us with your treasures. Some of you return each day to buy more. That speaks volumes. Your purchases and donations help us help our local library for our community. We can’t wait to see you next year.

A humongous amount of gratitude goes out to the many people who helped us with setup and tear down. There are too many to name individually, but one thing is for sure. This community comes together in times of need. There were scouts, parents of scouts, local Plumsted representatives and staff, friends, family and members of Friends of the Plumsted Township Library all ready and willing to help. Whether you carried a box, hung a sign, guided patrons, arranged and rearranged books, counted books, counted money, loaded the truck, donated more than your just your time we can’t thank you enough. We truly appreciate each and every one of you. We wish you the good fortune in life that you deserve.

The book sale is a cash-only event. We will accept a check. This is a fundraiser for our local library.

We are part of an amazing community overflowing with the spirit of volunteerism. Thank you to each and every single person who helped today. You are appreciated more than words can ever express. The Friends’ are looking forward to seeing a large crowd for our annual used book sale. Children’s Day starts tomorrow from 1 p.m. - 6 p.m. The regular sale starts on Friday at 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. and again on Saturday 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
