Congratulations to this group of hard working individuals on the completion of their Essentials of Firefighting Course. They completed the course with the structural burn held at the Bedford County Fire School yesterday. Congratulations and Great job everyone !!

A temporary burn ban will go into effect Thursday, March 27, in Bedford County due to dry weather conditions.
Bedford County commissioners approved the resolution Tuesday and announced the ban will remain in place for 30 days or until conditions improve.
Those found to be violating the ordinance will face a fine of $100 for the first offense, $200 for the second and $300 for the third offense.

At the May meeting of the Bedford County Firemen's Association elections were held for the upcoming year.
Officer's elected for the year are:
President Darl Ritchey
Vice President Roger Fagan
Secretary Emily States
Treasurer Mark Clapper
The newly elected officers are looking forward to working with all members in the upcoming year.
