Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. Their courage, dedication, and selflessness will never be forgotten.

As we gather with family and friends this Memorial Day, let us take a moment to reflect on the true meaning of this day and remember those who gave everything for the freedoms we enjoy.

From all of us at the New Florence Volunteer Fire Company, we extend our gratitude to our fallen heroes and their families. We also thank all who continue to serve our nation and communities each day.

May we never forget.

🇺🇸 Please use caution in town this morning as members of the New Florence Volunteer Fire Company are assisting New Florence Borough and New Florence Community Development with placing American flags on the telephone poles throughout town.

Crews may be working along roadways and near intersections. Please slow down, remain alert, and help keep everyone safe while this project is completed. 🇺🇸

Southwest winds will gust 25 to 35+ mph today in the presence of mild temperatures and RH values in the 25 to 35% range south of I-80. This could combine to produce an elevated risk of wildfire spread, especially in areas that haven't yet achieved full green up!
