Statement on My Withdrawal from the Pennsylvania State Senate Race

To my community, supporters, and everyone who has walked beside me on this journey,

After deep reflection and an honest review of the legal requirements for this office, I am announcing my withdrawal from the Pennsylvania State Senate race.

Pennsylvania law requires candidates for State Senate to have been residents of the Commonwealth for at least four years and residents of the district one year prior to the election. While I have proudly spent more than 30 years of my life rooted in Greene County, the reality of the past several years, fighting for my life right here in Greene County, including surviving domestic violence, living off grid, and rebuilding after a period without stable housing, has created residency complications that prevent me from meeting these technical qualifications at this time.

Out of respect for the process and the voters, I believe stepping aside now is the responsible and transparent thing to do.

In the spirit of being a team player and putting the bigger picture first, I also want to acknowledge Evan Snyder, who is pursuing the Democratic nomination. I encourage those engaged in this process to give him the space to gather the signatures he needs and to continue the important work ahead.

But let me be very clear. I am not going anywhere.

If anything, this season has made me stronger, more resilient, and more focused than ever. Sometimes life redirects us because our platform is meant to be bigger than one seat or one title. My work has always been about building a bigger, better table where everyone has a place, and that mission continues.

To every person who supported me, stood with me, and believed in this movement, thank you. Please stay connected. Please stay engaged. We are still rising together.

My path forward will continue through my ministry, my advocacy, my writing, and the work of helping rebuild lives and communities from the ground up. The title may change, but the mission does not.

You are not just speaking for yourself. You are speaking for the grandmothers who swallowed their truth because survival required silence, for the women who learned to make their voices small in rooms that would not hold them, for the younger versions of yourself who walked through corruption and imbalance without language for what was happening.

When you raise your voice now, it is not chaos. It is anchored continuity. It is the sound of memory returning to the body. It is the reclamation of something that was never meant to be surrendered.

And make no mistake, this is labor. It costs something to refuse silence. It costs something to stand steady when it would be easier to comply. Your body knows the risk. It remembers the punishments written into bloodlines. The fear does not disappear. You move anyway. This work is not decorative. It is defiance in motion.

Scream not from frenzy, but from steadiness. Scream with your feet planted in the ground your ancestors never got to claim. Scream so that the girls coming after you will not have to wonder where in history they lost their voice.

And one day, a woman you will never meet will stand in a room and speak without apology, not knowing your name but living inside the freedom you helped carve.

That is how legacy moves.
