Today we celebrate the 56th Anniversary of the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) and its mission of certifying EMS providers across the nation.

For 56 years, the National Registry has helped establish and maintain a national standard for EMS competency, ensuring that Emergency Medical Responders, EMTs, Advanced EMTs, and Paramedics possess the knowledge and skills necessary to provide high-quality patient care.

Since 1970, millions of EMS providers have earned National Registry certification, demonstrating their commitment to professionalism, continuing education, and excellence in emergency medical services.

We recognize and thank all current and former Nationally Registered EMS providers for their dedication to serving their communities, often during life's most critical moments. Your commitment to patient care, public service, and professional excellence continues to make a difference every day.

Happy 56th Anniversary NREMT!

⭐️ Thankfully, it’s not everyday that we have to use our lifesaving skills. But it’s pretty awesome when witnessed CPR is successful at reviving someone and they get to spend more time with their family! ❤️

Earlier this month our crew was paged for a patient with chest pain. Upon arrival, the patient went into cardiac arrest 🚨 It was a team effort between the 911 Dispatcher, law enforcement, first responders, EMTs and our Full-time Paramedic 🚑 They quickly recognizing the severity of the situation. The team relied on their training, skills, and communication - so they were able to get “ROSC” or Return of Spontaneous Circulation.

The patient was revived, flown by medical helicopter 🚁 to a facility that could provide cardiac specialty services and they have returned home now! Although we don’t celebrate this, we recognize that it’s a win when the system works seamlessly for the best outcome possible! 💯
