🔥 Fire Service Leadership & Wellness Conference 🔥

Orange County Fire Service Agencies are invited to join us for a day focused on leadership, wellness, and professional development in the Fire Service.

Date: March 28th, 2026
Location: The Barn at Villa Venezia
Breakfast & Registration: 8:00AM - 9:00AM
Conference Begins: 9:00AM
Lunch Provided | Concludes by 4:00PM

We are honored to welcome Keynote Speaker Dr. David Griffin, presenting on the powerful lessons learned from the Charleston 9.

This conference is designed to bring together Fire Service leaders to focus on leadership development, mental health, operational readiness, and overall firefighter wellness.

Registration on LMS is not available until 10/19/2025.

Departments will need to supply an apparatus and allow the rest of the class to operate the rig under the supervision of an instructor. Depending on demand, departments might be limited as to how many students they can get into the class. Orange County departments will take priority over out of county students.

For those that haven’t heard, the new NYS FF2 program has been split up into 5 modules, with the 5th one being the BPVR course. Attached are the flyers for the first round of modules being offered in Orange County. We had a couple of date changes from the initial announcement, so please double check each set of dates so you’re aware of actual days each class is meeting. Due to anticipated demand, departments may be limited to two members for module. We anticipate running these classes again in the beginning of 2026. I do not have control over the state’s LMS website, so if the class is too far in the future to allow for signups, you’ll have to wait until the date shown as the registration period. I’m sending out everything as soon as I have it in the hopes of allowing people to plan their schedules accordingly. Any questions please feel free to reach out to Jamie Rohner.

Two county level courses also attached, one for cancer awareness (new county offering) and one for Autism awareness (offered regularly by the County) open for registration on the county website.

We will be canceling the planned IFO class in June due to lack of enrollment, but I’ve attached the flyer for July with the hopes that we’ll be able to swing that one. Any students that are signed up for the BEFO course that ends in July and want to take the July IFO should sign up now so we can keep reserve their seat and confirm enough interest to keep the class running.
