Another Posey County 4-H Fair is in the books, and before we move on to the next call, we want to recognize the people who made this week possible.
To the members of the New Harmony Fire Department—thank you. Every evening this week, you set aside time with your families, put on your gear, and stood ready to answer the call while thousands of people enjoyed the fair. Your commitment to serving this community is what being a volunteer firefighter is all about, and we couldn't be more proud of each of you.
We also want to extend our sincere appreciation to our mutual aid partners who answered the call to help protect our community throughout the week.
Thank you to Black Township Fire & Rescue and Marrs Township Volunteer Fire Department for providing coverage alongside us every single night. Thank you to Griffin Fire Department, Wadesville Fire Department, Poseyville Volunteer Fire Department, and Mount Vernon Fire Department for helping throughout the week whenever needed. Your willingness to serve beyond your own districts is a true testament to the fire service brotherhood. When one department needs help, others don't hesitate—they simply show up.
A huge thank you also goes to Posey County EMS for staffing the fair each night and ensuring immediate emergency medical care was available.
We also want to recognize the Posey County Sheriff's Office for their constant presence throughout the fair. Thank you to the deputies who worked tirelessly each evening to provide security, manage traffic, and help ensure a safe environment for everyone attending.
Thank you to Posey County Emergency Management for ensuring we had the necessary resources for a safe and successful week.
Working together as one team allows us to provide the highest level of service to our community.
Events like the Posey County 4-H Fair require countless hours of planning and coordination. Thank you to the Posey County Fairgrounds & Community Events Center Fair Board and volunteers for all of the hard work throughout the year to provide our county with another outstanding fair. We appreciate everything you do behind the scenes.
This week was a reminder that no one agency does it alone. It takes volunteers, EMS, mutual aid partners, law enforcement, and community leaders all working toward the same goal—keeping our neighbors safe while they enjoy one of Posey County's greatest traditions.
From all of us at the New Harmony Fire Department, thank you for your support, your partnership, and your commitment to our community. We'll always be ready when the next call comes.
