People are fired every day, but if the employer can't show just cause, that person collects unemployment. In cases like Tucker, there is a bilateral contract and Fox has to prove they didn't violate the contract they signed. If Fox fails to prove they were acting within the mandates of the contract, they will have to pay for violating that contract. They also have an obligation to their viewers, if not morally, for self preservation. He was employed by Fox because people like what Tucker says (for the most part). Even if your not violating a contract by firing someone, if a large part of your viewership was because of the person you fired, you will still take a hit in loss of ad revenue.
