Are you ready for the sick revolutionary film of the week? At Neverending Books in New Haven at 6pm, the CT RCA is hosting a screening of “The Revolution Will Not Be Televised,” a recounting of the 2002 coup in Venezuela. This is the perfect film to watch if you are interested in learning more about the workers’ struggle in Venezuela, Chavez’ role in organizing the workers, and the imperialist powers (the USA mostly…) that would do anything in their power to topple the workers’ movement. Comrades at the Hartford vigil for ICE terror victim Renee Nicole Good on Thursday. Renee is one of the many people who has been a victim of ICE violence in the past year. What can we do about this? With mass organization of the working class, a socialist revolution would fight against the oppressive force of the ruling class, including bourgeois organizations like ICE. Before the year ends, there have been incredible efforts in the workers struggle that we would like to highlight. One of these efforts close to home is the Starbucks strike of December. The Starbucks workers labor with barely any benefits and low wages, and their labor is exploited by the Starbucks leaders who do not care whether they eat or not. Previously this month, CT RCA comrades stood alongside Starbucks workers at the Berkshire Center Starbucks picket.
In the next year, the growing CT RCA will make even more efforts to support workers across Connecticut as much as possible because what helps one worker, helps all.
