2 Charlie O’Neill here 🚑🚨

It’s not everyday you get to work with your family!
We are very lucky to have both Tom and Rob as apart of our crew. Both boys have been working with us as EMTs and they are nothing short of dedicated, hard working, and skilled individuals! They show up day in and day out with a positive attitude and enthusiasm ready for whatever New Haven throws their way.

So the next time you think you’re seeing double, you might just be seeing these two! (And yes, the mustache is mandatory so we can all tell them apart) 💪🏼

If you don’t know her, this is paramedic Jess Allen! Jess has been a paramedic just over three years, and has been with AMR New Haven for seven.

Jess works overnights primarily and is a dedicated team member, partner and caregiver. She recently had a call where once on scene they discovered two patients who were suffering from overdoses, and one was in cardiac arrest. Working collaboratively with the other responders on scene from New Haven along with her partner they were able to establish care for both patients and request an additional ambulance. Because of the quick response and efficient treatment pulses were regained and the patient was transported to the hospital!

We are proud to have Jess as a part of our team! She is a great reminder for all of us as to what good patient care, kindness, and strong work is 🤍🚑

We would like to give a huge congratulations to our very own Candace Latimer for receiving the Outstanding Achievement Award from Fire Bird Society of Greater New Haven! 🥳

The Fire Bird Society of Greater New Haven is a foundation that was founded in 1971 by Black and Hispanic firefighters with the goal to bring support and representation for minorities in the fire service. Every year they work to raise awareness, recruit and fund scholarships for local high school students!

Candace is not only a phenomenal employee, but she is an outstanding person. She meets everyone with kindness and compassion, and truly embodies all of the best qualities that make for a great EMT, coworker, and friend. We are so lucky to say she is apart of our team. Congratulations Candace!💜

A New Chapter Begins in the Northeast!🚨

Last week, we wrapped up four intense days of bootcamp training and officially launched the Northeast Regional Honor Guard Team.
Representing Connecticut and New York, this team was built through inclusion, commitment, and high standards of excellence. The dedication displayed throughout training has made it clear that this group is ready to represent our profession with pride and honor.

The team will become fully deployable following final training and the rollout of our Class A uniforms featuring a new unit patch.

A special thank you to fellow GMR Honor Guard Commanders Eric Phillips, Jeremy Markham, and Andrew Polendo-Perez for their guidance, mentorship, and unwavering support in helping bring this vision to life.

This is a major step forward for the Northeast, strengthening our ability to honor service, support our communities, and represent EMS with professionalism and dignity. And we're just getting started.

"Do not let selfishness or pride be your guide. Instead, be humble and give more honor to others than yourself" - Philippians 2:3

Interested in joining? Additional candidates will be considered after the new year, with limited early opportunities available for drummers and bagpipers.

It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of one of our own — Lily Evans

Lily has been with AMR New Haven since 2023, starting as an EMT and working her way through school and precepting. Lily had been working for the last several months as a paramedic.

Lily not only worked hard, she brought value to our team every day. She had drive, knowledge, and a quick wit to her that made her not only a good provider, but a friend to many.

We would like to share our condolences with all those who are closest to Lily — her family and her friends, and all of those in our community who are hurting at this time.
