I had so much fun joining Beeman Elementary School for their last BEST of the year to tell them about Summer Reading at the library! This was one of the most fun and meaningful school assemblies I have ever been to. There was also a presentation of the school yearbook including a dedication to our Board Chair Kristin Swartzentruber! 💗. They also kindly donated a copy of the yearbook to the library where you can come look at it.

Summer 2026 Updates:
***There will be one major change this summer; we will not be offering the very popular free meal boxes here at the library. MAUSD has decided to try offering them at Mt. Abe in Bristol instead, which will allow them longer hours. We will share the final information as soon as we have it. We appreciate everyone who helped make this possible by volunteering and/or using the resources and are looking at alternatives for the future.
***We WILL be offering our FREE VEGGIES again on Thursdays throughout the summer, starting whenever enough veggies are ready (probably mid to late June).
***More events and information about other summer programs to come!

From Vermont Department of Labor: We are really hoping to reach people who are struggling (or have given up!) on getting into the workforce due to barriers/challenges in their lives, such as transportation, childcare, navigating the benefits cliff, or other hurdles they may be facing.
