Well, friends: construction continues at 847 Chapel Street. We got some .38 Special blasting in from the roof (can you hear it? It was “Hold on Loosely” of course) and we have made the executive decision that we will not be open to the public during the daytime but that evening and weekend events will go on undisturbed. We know this is hard, but we shall prevail! In the meantime, go get a milkshake somewhere, I guess? (Eva’s gonna offer to buy our Executive Director Andrew one, because he deserves it.)

We feel bad that tonight’s event featuring Dr. Scuilli is cancelled tonight but given how hot it is in the operations manager’s apartment, we have to say: it’s good no one is hanging out in the Library tonight. If it’s 89 here, we don’t want to think about how hot it feels upstairs at 847 Chapel… no AC… yeeesh. Shades of the summer of 2019! Remember when we had no AC? It was a gas, let us tell you. Stay hydrated, folks.

Folks, we regret to inform you that the Institute Library will remain closed to the public during the daytime this week. We await decisions about the evening events currently scheduled for this week but aim to keep you all posted. In the meantime: doesn’t our bicentennial logo look awesome here?
