This weekend I had the pleasure of traveling Washington D.C. to attend College Democrats of America’s 2026 Summer Convention which was lined up with amazing speakers, workshops, caucus/committee meetings and peers. Glad to have represented SCSU and CDCT during this adventure. 💙

🚨NEW LOCATION🚨 Over the semester, we’ve been very focused on highlighting the 92nd State House Representative election and the importance of local politics for our members/campus. Where some people see apathetic young voters, we see an opportunity to educate our peers on the intricacies of the local democratic process. We’ve had the pleasure of having Pat Dillon, Justin Farmer, and Eli Sabin to our meetings to speak on their experiences on not only being a part of local politics but as well as their experience running for office.

It will be held on May 8th, 2026 at 6:30 PM in the SCSU School of Business 201. Guests are welcome to park in Lot 5 and Wintergreen Garage.

We encourage attendees to RSVP so we can accurately order the appropriate amount of food.

Over the semester, we’ve been very focused on highlighting the 92nd State House Representative election and the importance of local politics for our members/campus.
