Happy Friday - check out our Friday Field Trips! We explored the great outdoors at Villano Splash Pad, Kellogg Environmental Center, Hammonasset Beach, and the Mill River kayaking with Kingfisher Adventures. We discovered Connecticut's maritime history with the Eli Whitney Museum, New England Science & Sailing, the CT River Museum, the SoundWaters Schooner, and Mystic Seaport. This summer, our Horizons students, families, and staff gathered for our fourth annual Cookout. Families visited our classrooms to meet their children's teachers and see what everyone will be working on this summer. We all enjoyed delicious food from our food truck partners, and played on the Foote fields and playground. It was a wonderful night of connection for everyone at Horizons! 🎉🌯🍔🍗

Sound UP! 🔊 Hear our middle school jazz band's impressive performance of Sweet Home Alabama - Sebastian G on clarinet, Hajile on saxophone, Caylee on trumpet, Nesta on trumpet, Mouhamed on trombone, Jeremiah on trombone, Nehemiah on guitar, Mauriana on keys, Santiago G on drums, Shaun on percussion, Korey on bass - and fourth grader Sebastian, who stepped up to learn his part on saxophone in two days for the concert. Bravo all! 🎶🖤🔊

Paige is a Horizons at Foote Board member, and Deb a long-time friend and volunteer.
