As Dad celebrates his birthday in heaven today, I share this beautiful story of another strong man who is living with the disease and fighting for a cure. Despite and perhaps because of his journey, he builds awareness and promotes funding for research.

We would like to thank Art & Kathy Loewen for their generous donation of this wonderful chocolate cake to NHPD in memory of our former Chief of Police Ed Sprecher. Ed would make this cake every year and donate it to the New Holland Library auction. Ed’s widow, Candy Sprecher, has continued the tradition by baking the cake and donating it to the auction. Art & Kathy have purchased this cake in the past and donated it to the police department where it always disappears quickly!!
