Interesting ⤵️⤵️⤵️⤵️⤵️⤵️ Council minutes below WITH VOTE opposing this DEMOLITION ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️

MARCH 19, 2024 New Hope Borough Council voted 7-0 in favor of OPPOSING this application to demolish 8-10 Waterloo Street.

The next step was to present their opposition to demolish the structures to the Zoning Board. What the hell happened…? Why is demolish/build big ugly synthetic house taking up so much Borough time and money two years later?

The Council members called the developers out on a number of inaccuracies including the real “hardship” to them is that it would cost the developers more money/less profit to renovate the properties vs tear down/build big/new.

Does demolition meet all 5 criteria necessary to be granted a Variance on this project?

8-10 Waterloo St DEMOLITION + building mega LEGO house on the Agenda

Do not be fooled by agenda wording “preservation of original twin…”. They are referring to one internal wall in the structure. Obviously from their CAD drawings there is no preservation going on with this 100% synthetic materials structure.

Please attend! Ask questions. Voice your opinion! Do not let developers continue to destroy the history and soul of New Hope just to make $$$$$$$.
