And that's a wrap on Summer Camp 2026! 💦

We finished our final week of camp exploring one of our favorite spots: the creek!

Campers explored the animals living in the creek, splashed in the water, and made crafts to bring their outdoor discoveries to life.

What an unforgettable summer camp season! ☀

Our director, counselors, and counselor-in-training poured their hearts, energy, and creativity into making this summer a fun and educational experience for our campers. We are so grateful for all they did to create a summer of wonderful memories.

We'll miss our counselors and campers but look forward to seeing many of them back with us next year. ❤

The Sturgeon Moon is coming! It's happening on 8/27-28.

What's exciting is that it will also be a partial lunar eclipse; almost the entire moon, all 96.2% of it, will slip into the Earth's shadow.

🌕 Eclipse Begins: Thursday, August 27 at 9:23 PM EDT (faint outer shadow starts)

🌕 Partial Eclipse Begins: Thursday, August 27 at 10:33 PM EDT (the dark "bite" appears)

🌕 Maximum Peak Eclipse: Friday, August 28 at 12:12 AM EDT

🌕 Official Full Moon Phase: Friday, August 28 at 12:18 AM EDT

🌕 Eclipse Ends: Friday, August 28 at 3:01 AM EDT

You won't need any special glasses or equipment to watch it safely, though a standard pair of binoculars will make the coppery colors pop even more.

Breakfast is served. But first, a stare-down.

Pickles, our Australian tree frog, is currently eyeing a very crunchy Dubia roach. Tree frogs love a diet that includes crickets, roaches, and beetles. Their meal is swallowed whole and kicking.

Prehistoric Planet week was so much fun! Campers traveled back in time to when ancient animals ruled the Earth. They dug for fossils and walked in the tracks of dinosaurs. The prehistoric world was brought to life through hands-on exploration, games, and creative play.
