Last Monday, we had the honor of recognizing the graduating seniors of our Student Multicultural Advisory Committee at the council meeting.

These students have helped foster meaningful conversations, strengthen connections and represent the voices of their peers throughout the school year. Their leadership, perspective and willingness to engage with our department and community have made a lasting impact.

We are incredibly proud of each of them and can’t wait to see all they accomplish in the future. Congratulations, graduates! 👏

Meet Officer Matthias Waldemar!!

After spending time traveling the world in the military, Matthias came to New Hope as a Community Service Officer first before becoming one of our sworn officers.

In his own words:

What is your go to Comfort food? Yellow curry with crispy chicken and diced potatoes.

What is the best career advice you've ever received? If you don't apply, you can't get it.

What is something you are passionate about outside of work? Volleyball

Matthias might seem like a man of few words based on his answers…but anyone who’s spent more than five minutes with him knows that’s definitely not the case. He’s got plenty to say, just apparently not on questionnaires😂

We're lucky to have you here in New Hope Matthias!

Today, on Law Enforcement Memorial Day, we honor and remember the brave officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities and their fellow officers.

Their courage, dedication and commitment to protecting others will never be forgotten. Officer L. Larson and Reserve Officers Monson and Gerszewski stood watch at the Law Enforcement Memorial as we paused to reflect on the lives lost and the lasting impact of their service.

We remember the fallen. We honor their sacrifice. We stand beside those who continue to carry the badge in their memory. 💙🖤
