💙 Building Leaders Through Service!

Today, Kiwanis spent time at New Iberia Senior High introducing our Key Club chair, Kiwanis representatives, and the goals and service projects planned for the upcoming year.

Upcoming chair Anna C., a proud New Iberia Senior High alumna, set the tone by encouraging students to think about why joining clubs and serving their community matters. She challenged students to look beyond simply participating—to identify projects they can lead, model, and use to develop their passions.

It was especially meaningful to have Anna return to her alma mater and encourage the next generation of NISH leaders to get involved and make a difference. 💙

And, of course, we couldn’t end the afternoon without pizza before the big football game! 🍕🏈

Here’s to a year of leadership, service, and making an impact in our community!

Serving Beyond Ourselves 💙

Being a part of Kiwanis is about something bigger than yourself. It’s about serving children, strengthening families, and making a difference in our community.

Each year, Kiwanis hosts Fun Day, an event focused on getting kids active, engaged, and connected. We also provide the manpower and resources needed to make sure local youth have the school supplies they need to start the year ready to learn.

This year, we were proud to partner with Humana to take our service a step further by providing additional health screenings, including blood pressure and hearing screenings, while educating families about the importance of heart health. ❤️

This is what service looks like—showing up, investing in our youth, and creating opportunities for our community to thrive.
