Iberia Homeless Shelter

Supports and strengthens the community by providing shelter and housing to the homeless Individuals experiencing crisis and advocates for solutions.

The Iberia Homeless Shelter first opened its doors on March 16,2005 under the leadership of the ministry association, and citizens within the community. The program has helped many men through the years attain full time employment and suitable permanent housing. The shelter performs out-reach services throughout the eight parish areas served by the Acadiana Regional Coalition on Homelessness (ARCH). Iberia Homeless Shelter, Inc. is a non profit 501 (C) agency governed by a Board of Directors.

This week has been all about celebrating those who help our residents live their best and happiest lives! In the spirit of this year's theme, we chose to live soulfully by collecting and donating items to the Iberia Homeless Shelter. Both New Iberia Manor North and New Iberia Manor South teamed up to make this happen! We bought supplies, decorated cookies, put together gift baskets, and hand delivered them to the shelter. Our residents were absolutely thrilled to give back to the community and are looking forward to doing more for the city of New Iberia! Happy to all!
