Iberia 4-H Fall Fun Day is Saturday, November 8th and the Iberia Parish 4-H program needs your help to make it a success! Our 4-H members will be preparing their best Beef and Rice dishes for our cookery contest, and we need judges for this delicious event. The contest will take place at Iberia Middle School (613 Weeks Island Road) in New Iberia. Judging will begin at about 9:15 am and we should be done around 11:30 am.

Registration for the Iberia 4-H Shooting Sports Archery Program will be Saturday, October 4th at The Community Church (old movie theater) from 2:00-4:00pm. This registration is for NEW Participants ONLY. We hope to see you Saturday!

It is very close to the sweetest celebration in our parish, the Louisiana Sugar Cane Festival & Fair, and the Iberia Parish 4-H programs needs your help! Our Iberia Parish 4-H members will be preparing their favorite sweets (baked and non-baked) recipes featuring Sugar for their cookery contest that needs judges on Friday, September 26, 2025, at the Cyr Gates Community Center in City Park in New Iberia. Judging will begin at about 9:15 am and we should be done on or before 12:00 pm (Noon).

At 4-H University this year, we were able to bring 30 students with the help of our outstanding volunteers!

Eleven of our students were blue ribbon winners this year, including 5 students taking home 1st place wins! We are so proud of the Iberia delegation this year for continuing to shoot for the stars!

Looking for summer plans? For the second year in a row, our robotics club is offering a robotics camp for students to learn about coding, designing and building their own robot!

This day camp opportunity will be hosted from July 14-18th at Highland Baptist from 9:00-3:00 each day. Attendance costs $125, used to cover food and supplies, with any additional funds going to support the Iberia Parish 4-H Robotics program.

Ladies and gentlemen, get ready to start your engines for Achievement Day 2025!

On April 26, we will be meeting at Westgate High School for a day filled with contests, workshops, and fun to round out this year's 4-H Activities! We invite everyone to step into the cockpit by wearing their own race-car gear to this fun event, or to dress with the others from your school if you are planning to participate in the song and chant!

Adults, if you would like, please let us know if you would like to attend as a volunteer for this event, helping us with judging!

On Wednesday, a team of Iberia Parish 4-H’ers attended the Wonders of Wetlands: Junior Wildlife Habitat Education Program. These students included Caiden B. (Loreauville Elementary), Emily B. (Highland Baptist Christian School), Izzy H. (Member-at-large), and their Junior Leader helper, Landon M. (New Iberia Senior High).

These students were able to visit the Nicholls Farm in Thibodaux, LA and learn about all different facets of ecology and habitat management! In the competition portion, these students were able to take home FIRST PLACE! 🥇

Please cheer them on as they prepare for the Bi-Regional Competition in May. Congratulations Team Iberia!
