🚔🐾 Big news for our department and community!

The New Johnsonville Police Department is proud to announce the appointment of our newest K9 team: K9 Officer David Simpson and his partner, K9 Chief! K9 Chief is a certified narcotics detection dog who will play a vital role in helping us keep illegal drugs off our streets and enhancing the safety of our community.

This highly trained duo will assist with investigations, traffic enforcement, and community outreach. You may see them around town, feel free to say hello (from a respectful distance) as they get to work protecting and serving.

Please join us in congratulating Officer Simpson and K9 Chief on this exciting new assignment. We’re proud to have them on the team!

A dear friend, and brother called home today! Please join the New Johnsonville Police Department in offering prayers and condolences to the Dickson County Sheriff’s Office and the family of Detective Captain Trevor Daniel. Detective Captain Daniel was the embodiment of a true warrior, battling aggressive cancer until his passing this afternoon. Rest easy Detective Captain Daniel, your watch is covered.

In preparation for potential severe weather this afternoon, the Safe Room has been made available for use. According to radar projections on the weather app, the storm is expected to reach the New Johnsonville area around 8:55 pm tonight.

Power lines are damaged in the area of Woodlawn and Oakland. There are those without power currently. MLEC is in the area repairing the issue. Please be aware of MLEC personnel and NJFD personnel in the area.

We need your help to find Alma Fowler, who is missing from Camden.

The 75-year-old is 4’11” tall and 110 pounds. She has gray hair and brown eyes. Alma was last seen near Herrington Road in Camden, wearing a green puffy jacket, tan jeans, white snow boots, and a white headband. She is believed to be travelling on foot.

Alma has a medical condition that may impair her ability to return safely without assistance.
