The new school year is quickly approaching and we’re looking for families that have special transportation situations. First, NKASD provides transportation for all students that reside within the district and outside of our walkzones. We understand that some of our students do not go home after school or leave from home in the morning. The district will accommodate a different location to transport our students to and from school as long as it falls in the district's boundaries.

Students are assigned only one pick-up and one drop-off location Monday through Friday. Consistency in bus stop locations reduces the risk of misdirecting a child and confusion on the child's part regarding which bus to ride. The district will not alter transportation to allow students a different pick-up or drop-off location on separate days of the week or different weeks of the year unless a custody order is supplied to the district; even then, both locations must be in the district's boundaries.

If you have a child that does not go home before or after school, you must fill out the Alternate Pick-up/Drop-off Location form, that can be found on our website.
Remember that the location can be different in the morning from the afternoon, but must be the same Monday through Friday.

If your child leaves and returns to your home you do not have to fill out this form. Thank you.

The New Kensington-Arnold School District is excited to invite our incoming 2026 Kindergarten students and their families to join us for Viking Voyage to Kindergarten!
This FREE 4-night summer program is designed to help children and families prepare for a successful start to kindergarten. Future Vikings will explore their school, practice important kindergarten skills, build confidence, make new friends, and learn what it means to be a kindergarten student—all while having fun!

Missed posting this....

Before Easter Break, the JH Phys Ed teachers organized the 2nd Annual Valley JH Nitroball Tournament. 23 Teams participated in 2 separate, grade-level double elimination tournaments that lasted all day and concluded in a best-of-three finals match between the 7th grade tournament champs vs the 8th grade tournament champs.

The 7th grade team made up of Judah Davis, Jaedyn Joris-Lincoln, and Kevin Witcher fell to the 8th grade team of Aubrey Kelly-Walker, Demetrious Stocks, and Ta'Shaun Wilkerson. It was a fun day for everyone and all of the teams showed great effort and sportsmanship.
