A beautiful morning at Hand Hollow!

It's always a good time of day to visit public lands, but there's something extra special about a sunrise spent outdoors 🤠🍂

Deer hunting season begins today, October 1st, on select CLC lands! For this season, a limited number of hunting permits have been distributed at sections of Hand Hollow, Schor, and Overmountain.

🔶 For a safe and enjoyable experience at these sites, we highly encourage visitors to stay on trails, wear blaze orange or fluorescent pink (and consider putting gear on your dog!), and hike during the daytime.

🔶 For hunters, folks must get permission from CLC and follow the hunting rules for each site. Harvests should be reported to CLC at the end of each hunt.

🐶 Pick up after your dog
🥎 During hunting season, consider putting a blaze orange or pink bandana on your pup!
