The Multi-Agency Resource Center continues to provide a central location for individuals and families affected by the recent flooding to connect with agencies and organizations that can provide assistance and valuable resources.

Our neighboring department, Newton Township Fire Department is currently hosting Team Rubicon as they assist with flood and storm cleanup throughout the Perry and Muskingum County areas.

Team Rubicon volunteers are working alongside local agencies and community partners to help residents with debris removal, property cleanup, and recovery efforts.

🌊 TEAM RUBICON IS HERE TO HELP! 🇺🇸

Following the recent flooding and severe storms in our area, Team Rubicon is working alongside local partners to help our community recover.

Newton Township Fire Department is proud to be housing Team Rubicon as they work throughout our area to assist residents impacted by the recent flooding and storm damage. We are honored to provide a home base for these dedicated volunteers as they serve our community.

Their disaster-response volunteers are assisting with:

🔨 Flood cleanup and recovery
🧹 Storm and flood debris removal
🏠 Property cleanup and damage mitigation
💪 Helping homeowners begin the recovery process
🤝 Supporting local families and communities in the aftermath of disaster

Team Rubicon brings trained volunteers and resources directly into communities affected by disasters, helping families take the next steps toward getting their homes and lives back in order.

Newton Township Fire Department is proud to stand alongside Team Rubicon and help connect our community with the assistance they need.

We will continue to share information and updates as it becomes available. Some of the frequent questions we are seeing here at the Emergency Operations Center:
1. What should I do if I have an emergency? Call 911 immediately for any life-threatening or urgent emergency.
2. Who do I contact for non-emergency assistance? Call the Perry County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) at 740-342-1141.
3. Where can I find food, water, and clothing assistance? Resources are available at the following locations:
• Roseville Elementary *– 76 W Athens Rd, Roseville, OH 43777
• Factory of Ideas – 4757 Tile Plant Rd, New Lexington, OH 43764
• Corning-Monroe Civic Center – 115 South Corning Ave, Corning, OH 43730
*Note: Roseville Elementary has exhausted its clothing supply, except for children's shoes and winter coats.
4. Where is the shelter for flood-displaced residents? The American Red Cross has established a shelter at the Perry County Fairgrounds, located at 5445 SR 37, New Lexington, OH 43764.
5. How can I get transportation to these locations? Free transportation is available through Perry County Transit by calling 740-342-2810.
6. What types of storm debris are being collected? Crews will only collect storm-related vegetation, construction, and demolition debris. Appliances and tires are also being collected, but they must be separated from other storm debris.
7. Where should I put storm debris for pickup? Debris must be placed on the curb at the front of your property. If you need volunteer assistance, call Crisis Cleanup at 740-207-2397.
8. When will storm debris be collected in my area? As of Thursday, August 20, crews have completed collection in Crooksville, Corning, and Roseville. Collection in New Lexington is underway.
9. What if debris was already picked up in my community but I still have items on the curb? Remaining debris will be coordinated on a case-by-case basis. Contact the Perry County EMA at 740-342-1141 to report your location.

The K9 Search & Rescue Class scheduled for August 29th has been canceled.

We are working to reschedule the class for a later date and will share the new date as soon as it is confirmed.
