Understand the difference.

A Low-Speed Vehicle (LSV) is a federally compliant, street-legal four-wheeler with a top speed of 20 to 25 mph. A Golf Cart is a light, slow vehicle meant for golf courses.

Low-Speed Vehicle (LSV)
• Speed: 20 to 25 mph max.
• Legality: Street-legal on public roads with speed limits of 35 mph or less.
• Requirements: Needs a 17-digit VIN, title, registration, insurance, and seatbelts/headlights to meet federal safety standards.

• Golf Cart
• Speed: Usually tops out around 12 to 19 mph.
• Legality: Restricted to golf courses and private property (unless local rules allow specific street use).
• Requirements: Lacks federal motor vehicle safety equipment and a standard VIN.

Golf carts are not allowed on any Germantown roads.

Work on 19th Ave has been completed and it is open to regular traffic flow.

Road work lasting several days will begin Monday, July 20, on the entire length of 19th Avenue from Hwy G to Hwy G . Expect delays as work is completed and use alternative routes whenever possible.

Workers were up early this morning chip sealing the medical helicopter landing pad at the town shop. Thank you to Scott Construction for their donation of time and materials to complete this project!

The recent rain has filled the ditches and water is making its way to the roads. Please be careful when traveling especially in the following areas pictured:

16th Avenue between Germantown G and 15th This gravel road is fully covered.

20th Avenue
41st Street
The corner of 19th and 43rd.

Portions of these roads have standing water. Watch for signs and/or barriers.
