🚨 SCAM ALERT – PLEASE READ & SHARE! 🚨

We’re seeing a sudden influx of scam calls and texts in our area. Today alone we’ve received 4 complaints, all coming from different phone numbers. 📱⚠️

Please take a moment to look at the attached screenshot showing the type of scam going around right now.

❗ Important Reminder:
Government agencies will NOT contact you by text message for overdue payments, threats of legal action, warrants, or sensitive personal information. If you receive a message like this, it is a scam.

🔎 What is phone number spoofing?
Scammers can use technology to fake or “spoof” a phone number, making it look like the call or text is coming from a local number, a business, or even a government agency. This is done to trick you into answering or responding.

🛡️ How to stay safe:
• Don’t click links from unknown senders
• Never give out personal or financial information over the phone or text
• If something feels off, hang up and call the organization directly
• Block the number (even though it may change)
• Report suspicious messages so others can be warned

Today marks the 43rd anniversary of D.A.R.E.!

Yesterday, Officer Weber celebrated our 5th grade students at their D.A.R.E. graduation. Students sang songs, received certificates, and enjoyed cookies to mark the occasion.

Three essay winners were also recognized for their great work — congratulations!

We’re proud of all our graduates and the choices they’re making for a safe and successful future. Keep it up, we’re cheering you on! 👏

City of New Lisbon – Community Clean-up Event Notice

The City of New Lisbon is pleased to announce a city-wide clean-up event in partnership with GFL Environmental. As part of our new garbage service agreement, this service is being provided at no additional cost to residents. Three large dumpsters will be available for public use at the City Shop.
Residents are invited to drop off acceptable items during the designated hours (please refer to the attached map and item guidelines for details).

Important Reminder:
To ensure the success and continuation of this program, all participants must adhere to the list of acceptable and unacceptable items.

The presence of prohibited materials may result in the
discontinuation of this service in future years.

We appreciate your cooperation in helping keep our community clean and safe.

Good Afternoon New Lisbon Citizens!

You may have noticed a sea of green around the city last week — your new GFL trash and recycling carts have arrived!

📬 A notice was included with your last utility bill letting residents know a change was coming. We’ve since confirmed that Republic Services will complete their final trash and recycling pickup on Friday, December 26, 2025.

➡️ Please continue to use your old blue Republic bins for that final pickup. Afterward, leave the old bins at the end of your driveway on the 26th, and Republic will collect them.

🗓 GFL service will begin in the New Year.
Because of the New Year’s Day holiday, the first GFL pickup will be Saturday, January 3rd. Please plan to use your new green bins starting then.

Thank you for your patience as we worked through the bidding process to secure the most competitive service for the benefit of New Lisbon taxpayers.

A full closure of I-90/94 eastbound and westbound is scheduled daily from Monday, November 10 to Thursday, November 13, 2025, between 1:00 AM and 4:00 AM.

🔴 RED: Full closure area
