New London Area Food Pantry

New London Area Food Pantry Food is received from CT Foodshare, the United Way/Labor Food Center, Midwest Food Bank, local farms, individuals and organizations.

The food pantry is an all-volunteer organization, established in 1986, serving the residents of the greater New London / Southeastern CT area through offering the selection of groceries to those who cannot afford to meet their nutritional needs. Food is also purchased with donated funds. Donations may be sent to the Pantry's address or via the included donation link.

Once again, we are very thankful to Maria’s Treasures of Taftville CT for their generous and recurring support of our Pantry! Their donations go a long way to enabling a dignified Client Choice shopping experience for our guests. When you’re in the Norwich area, visit Susan Noyes and her team. It will be worth the visit.

Maria's Treasures is a non-profit Thrift Store sustained by a community of volunteers and donors who provide quality used goods at affordable prices. All proceeds are used to address urgent needs of local individuals and families. See what treasures you'll find from their selection of furniture, household goods, clothing, collectibles, books, videos, records, and toys.

We’ve mentioned many times how our volunteers keep our Pantry running. We had an opportunity to celebrate two of our volunteers; Annie Allison for her excellent work managing our food inventory and ensuring we are distributing food at the appropriate times and Ahmed Mirghani for his very dedicated support and plan to move to Kansas to attend med school.

Congratulations and many thanks to both Annie and Ahmed!

After long and hard work by the New London VFW team and our state representatives, they finally achieved their goal of being awarded by the State the funds needed to redo the VFW roof. This was a very big win for the VFW. As a tenant of the VFW, we appreciate the commitment by the VFW team to our partnership with them and to the betterment of the building.
