Never allow children to handle, play with, or light any type of fireworks. Supervision is crucial to prevent accidents, as even sparklers can cause significant injury, burning at temperatures over 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit.

Use sparklers in open, outdoor spaces away from buildings, trees, dry grass, and other flammable materials. Light them one at a time and have water available nearby.

“Firefighters from New London participated in Smoke Alarm Saturday this morning! Homes were visited by Firefighters and provided life-safety education.
Several smoke alarms were installed and tested. We would like to thanks OSFM on giving us these smoke alarms to hand out to the community and letting us participating this event!”

🔥 Lithium-Ion Battery Safety Tips for Yard Equipment:

• Use only the charger designed for that battery

• Charge batteries on a hard, flat surface away from combustible materials
