A final update on Congressional redistricting and maps: pursuant to yesterday’s decision from the Supreme Court of the United States, the Congressional Districts from the 2022 maps will be used for the November 3rd General Election.

What this means ➡➡➡ voters will see the 6th Congressional Districts on their ballot. Most importantly, voters can cast their absentee ballot confident that it will be counted.

Today is the first day of excused absentee voting for voters that will be out of town on November 3rd, 2026, have an illness or disability, or are working as a healthcare provider or first responder. At this time, there is federal litigation that we are tracking that may impact which Congressional districts Ralls County voters will see on their ballot. This litigation is now pending an appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court. We expect that the litigation will be resolved by September 28th, 2026. Late yesterday a federal court ordered Missouri to use the 2025 Congressional Map putting Ralls County back in the U.S. Representative 3rd District(same district you voted on in the August 4th, 2026, Primary Election). Previously, the Missouri Supreme Court and Missouri Secretary of State ordered all counties in Missouri to set up this election with the 2022 Congressional Map placing Ralls County back in the U.S. Representative 6th District. As soon as more information is available we will know how to move forward. In the mean time, absentee voting is available in person at the County Clerk’s Office and by mail, but we do want to caution voters that they may wish to wait until the litigation is resolved to cast their ballot. For the reason being once a ballot has been CAST another ballot may not be issued. That is the law. If you have any questions please reach out to the County Clerk’s Office at 573-985-7111.
