NL Loves US Coast Guard Join with the Downtown New London Association and your New London neighbors to let the U.S. Coast Guard know that we love and appreciate them.

The New London-based City Center District (CCD) is on a mission to make sure their long-time neighbor, the United States Coast Guard, knows that New Londoners love them. The New London City Center District (CCD) represents owners of approximately 160 buildings and businesses in New London’s downtown business district. A self-supporting organization chartered through City Council, the group promote

s vibrancy and economic growth, working collaboratively with city government and residents to ensure downtown business, streets and events reflect the best that is New London.

Even the largest creatures in the ocean aren't too large for the Coast Guard to rescue.

Captured in 1999, this photo shows the crew of a U.S. Coast Guard 41-foot rescue boat working alongside marine conservation partners to free an entangled humpback whale, an endangered species. It's one of many examples of the Coast Guard's commitment to protecting both lives and marine wildlife.
