Interested in a career in Animal Science?

Join the National Association of Extension and 4-H Youth Development Professionals, Animal Science Working Group, to hear from speakers throughout the Animal Science Industry.

Speakers include Dr. Mark Hoge, Associate Professor of Animal Science and Livestock Judging Coach, Western Illinois University, and Mr. Kevin Robinson, Senior Animal Care Specialist, Sea World San Diego.

Announcing: Waupaca County 4-H Family Trip to Heritage Hill State Historic Park in Green Bay. Families are invited to meet at Heritage Hill for a day of learning and fun on Tuesday, June 23rd, 2026. The cost is a deposit of $15, which will be refunded when you arrive. This trip is funded by money raised during the silent auction at the 4-H Leaders' Banquet each fall. Registration and payment are due by June 16. Scan the QR code or use this link https://bit.ly/4-HFamilyTrip2026 If you are interested in extending your day in Green Bay after 1:30 pm, a list with some suggestions will be shared prior to the trip. Most of lunch will be provided by the 4-H Leaders' Association, families are asked to bring their own sandwich. There is a lot of walking at the park and there are handicap accessible paths. Plan accordingly for weather.

Fun at the Fairgrounds with 4-H! Evening fun for children in K-4th Grade! This day camp type event will be held at the Fairgrounds in Weyauwega on Wednesday, July 8 from 4:45 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Registration is 4:30 - 4:45 p.m. Older youth can register to be a counselor. FINALLY! Here are the Lego Contest Entry results! Join me in congratulating the following members. There were almost 40 entries representing over half of the 4-H clubs in Waupaca County. These members will receive a gift card prize in the mail in the next week or two. We also did a random drawing of all entries for one more gift card... the winner of the random drawing is Ember from Casey Lake 4-H! Thanks again to all who entered! Thank you also to all of our Ambassador judges!

Here is an opportunity for judging events in livestock and dairy, horse judging clinic, and a photography and poster contest in all species. You can also register to be a dairy show person and gain practice for the fair. Registration due by June 1st.

Registration is open for the 2026 4-H Area Animal Science Days. Deadline to register is June 1st.
