***The Burn Ban for Hazelton Township and the Village of New Lothrop has been lifted***

Burn permits are required for any burning other than small recreational fires.

Due to the extremely dry conditions and the lack of adequate rainfall in the weather forecast, a Burn Ban is now in effect for Hazelton Township and the Village of New Lothrop.

Small campfires no more the 36 inches in diameter, burning seasoned firewood, will be allowed. Please have an adequate water source nearby and do not leave such fires unattended.

The burning of yard waste is prohibited while the burn ban is in place.
