Gilham - Frank VFW Post 8804 New Marshfield Ohio members and line officers will celebrate Veterans Day November 11th with other comrades, families and friends and will also gather to honor veterans at 11 AM in Athens Ohio at the Civil War Monument on the campus of Ohio University. Following the Veterans Day ceremony members of both Post 8804 and Hilltop Gun Club will meet at the clubs range located at 675 Pearlwood Road Albany Ohio, in preparation for the Posts FIRST ANNUAL FREE VETERANS DAY SHOOT & TOOT, a free bean soup and corn bread meal and range use event. VFW Post 8804 has 2 Foundations and a Charity program which are used to support veterans and their families. Through the Stauffer and Laughlin Endowments our Post is able to offer the beautiful patriotic and nature preserving ranges and grounds for veterans and their families and friends to gather up and relax, enjoy a cool brisk Autumn day and be able to eat, relax and have fun and shoot their fi****ms in a safe environment. All ranges will be controlled by National Rifle Association Certified Instructors and will be open 20 minutes on the hour. Please come down to visit and meet other comrades. Gilham- Frank VFW Post 8804 sponsors for the event are Carter Lumber, Bob Evans, Athens Lawn & Gardening and The Bulk Food Store. Our Chef is cooking a very delicious white bean soup in a 20 gallon 250+ year old cast iron kittle over an open wood fire. The bean soup and corn bread are home made from scratch just the way Grandma did. The range's nature preserve will be open for touring after all fi****ms programs are closed and secured. Lets all be grateful for our veterans as they are Americas War Fighters. NO ONE DOES MORE FOR VETERANS THAN THE VFW.

Gilham - Frank VFW Post 8804 New Marshfield Ohio is continuing a 72 year tradition of giving to veterans November 11 2-6pm by hosting a FREE soup bean, cornbread and range use day at Hilltop Gun Club and Archery Range located at 675 Pearlwood Road Albany Ohio. All veterans and their families and friends are invited to come and visit, eat, share stories, enjoy a cool crisp day and shoot in a safe fun environment. Firing ranges will be open 20 minutes on the hour and under direction of certified NRA Range Masters. Please attend

Veterans, family and friends are invited to attend Post 8804's 71 Annual Memorial Day Service. MAY 29 at 10 am in the New Marshfield Ohio cemetery. Free American flags to all. Free Veterans lunch by Albany Cafe includes, baked chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, green beans and rolls. Pies are supplied by Connie Ator. Hot Dogs and chips donated by Vietnam veteran Thomas Romine. Lunch served by Alexander High School Marching Band Boosters. Drinks supplied by McDonalds. Entertainment by Alexander H S Marching Band, Charley and Celia Lewis and Matthew Griffin. Guest Speakers Lou Gentile former District 12 D-Stubenville State Senator and US. Airforce Combat Pilot Tonya Stone. MED FLIGHT Helicopter fly over at 1030. Firing Squad and Honor Guard directed by Craig Churchus. We hope to see 1000 people in the cemetery this year. Please join us.

Gilham - Frank VFW Post 8804 New Marshfield Ohio wishes to thank all the veterans, firemen and women, children, volunteers and post members and officers for helping us right over 700 veterans grave markers and install all new American flags on our fallen comrades graves. The New Marshfield cemetery is considered by many as one of the most patrotic decorated places in the entire United States of America. Post 8804 has led the charge for 71 years and peoples families have decorated their veterans graves since 1865..Please come visit the scared grounds and see why it is so special.

Officers and members of Gilham Frank VFW Post 8804 along with the Waterloo Township Fire department members and others will be placing much needed veteran grave markers and new flags on the big main cemetery in New Marshfield Ohio this coming Thursday at 6PM. Please come join us pay homage to all of the fallen comrades that are interned in their final resting places. New Marshfield.s cemetery is considered at one of the most beautiful in the entire United States of America. Please come help and learn some history and experience being with veterans as we honor our comrades.
