👀 Watch out for students walking and riding their bikes.

🚨 Can You Help Identify These Individuals? 🚨

The New Milford Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in identifying the two individuals pictured in the attached photos. They are suspects in a robbery that occurred at Illy Day Spa on July 16, 2026.

If you recognize either individual or have any information that may assist with this investigation, please contact Detective Simmons at 860-355-3133 or [email protected].

On June 18, 2026, the New Milford Police Department celebrated the retirement of Lieutenant Earl Wheeler, Detective Scott Flockhart, and Officer Brian Bollaro.

Together, these three dedicated members of our department have given a combined 84 years of service to the New Milford community. Their commitment, professionalism, and dedication have made a lasting impact on the department, their fellow officers, and the many residents they have served throughout their careers.

It was a day filled with pride, gratitude, and many emotions as we honored their years of service and the legacy they leave behind.

We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have worked alongside them and wish Lieutenant Wheeler, Detective Flockhart, and Officer Bollaro all the best as they begin this next chapter of retirement. You will always be a part of the New Milford Police Department family. 💙

🚔 FIRST GRADE VIP RIDE TO SCHOOL! 🚔

This morning, one lucky Hill and Plain School first grader received the ultimate VIP ride to school experience as part of a special raffle organized by the Hill and Plain School PTO!

After winning the Officer Ride to School raffle, our excited first grader was picked up in one of the New Milford Police Department’s newest patrol cruisers and treated to a behind-the-scenes look at police work. The student received a full tour of the cruiser, learned about the equipment officers use every day, and had the opportunity to meet one of our K9 officers, K9-Mattis! 🐾

Community partnerships like these help build positive relationships between our officers and the young members of our community while creating memories that will last a lifetime.

👏 Special thanks to Hill and Plain School and the Hill and Plain School PTO for organizing this fantastic event.

👏 Thank you to Lieutenant Lafond, Sergeant Hannan, K9 Officer Shaw, and K9 Mattis for helping make this morning such a memorable experience.

We hope our VIP rider had as much fun as we did!
