THIS TEMPORARY TOWN-SPONSORED COMMITTEE EXPIRED SEPTEMBER 11, 2019. That means the town has no committee currently focused on expanding New Milford River Trail or ways to make New Milford safer for pedestrians and cyclists. Please direct questions to the Mayor at [email protected]

Starting tomorrow, the Brookfield Still River Greenway will be closed.

TRAIL UPDATE: Please be aware that starting tomorrow the Still River Greenway in Brookfield will be closed. According to First Selectman Steve Dunn, they have had way too many people on it every nice day for it to be considered safe. Given that Brookfield has one of the highest infection rates by population, they feel they have no choice.

On August 2, 2019, New Milford's Bike & Trails Committee submitted its application to the League of American Bicyclists (LAB) to renew our bicycle friendly honorable mention with a goal of reaching Bronze status. The review of our application is currently underway.

In order to gain a better understanding of local bicyclists' experiences in our community, the League would greatly appreciate your input on a survey abour bicycling in New Milford. Survey link:
