🚧 National Work Zone Awareness Week | April 21–25 🚧

This week, we recognize National Work Zone Awareness Week, a time to remind drivers to stay alert, slow down, and drive safely through work zones. The people working behind those orange cones are our neighbors, friends, and loved ones—let’s help them get home safely each day.

⚠️ Every cone represents a person’s life—don’t take the risk.
✅ Obey posted speed limits
✅ Avoid distractions
✅ Watch for workers and equipment

Let’s all do our part to make work zones safe for everyone.

🚨 Winter Weather Advisory – Please Keep Roads Clear 🚨

Due to the ongoing snow and ice event, we strongly encourage residents to avoid parking on the roads whenever possible. This will help our plow trucks and salt crews clear and treat the roads more efficiently.

Our crews are working diligently to manage road conditions, but with snow and ice expected to continue through Sunday night, we urge everyone to limit travel unless absolutely necessary. Staying off the roads will allow us to work safely and keep them as clear as possible.

Thank you for your cooperation, and stay safe! ❄️🚛

🚨 Snow Advisory - Please Keep Roads Clear

Although a parking ban will not be in effect for the upcoming snow event, we strongly encourage residents to avoid parking on the roads whenever possible. This will allow our plow trucks to clear snow more efficiently and safely.

Our crews have been working hard to pretreat the roads in preparation for the forecasted snowfall. If travel is not essential, please stay off the roads so we can clear them safely and quickly.

Thank you for your cooperation, and stay safe! ❄️🚛

Weather Alert- The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Thursday from 4am-6pm With Snowfall projections currently 1-3 inches and sleet freezing rain which could produce 0.05 - 0.15" of ice for much of the area, but these amounts will be heavily dependent on how long the coldest air can stick around.-
With this being said we are asking you to please park your vehicle in your driveway or on your property with all 4 tires off the roadway so that our plows can better plow/treat our roads.
For those who live/ business owners/employees in the Downtown area, please park your vehicles in the municipal parking lots so that our plows can safely plow/treat our roadways. For those that shop/dine in the downtown district - please park in the municipal parking lots if at all possible so that we can plow/treat the roads more efficiently - I will continue to provide additional updates-
