Thank you to everyone for the help today, around 140ish people came out to assist. The County Department of Public Safety deployed 2 Drones from the Drone Team and the County’s Communication Trailer with dispatch and command staff to assist Rush Fire Department
with this incident. Thank you to our neighboring counties Broome County Sheriff's Office and Bradford County Department of Public Safety with the drone teams between last night and today. Thank you to PSP and the other law enforcement agencies that were on scene assisting as well. A big thank you to all of the volunteers who were out today between search teams with dogs and foot teams, and anyone else helping any fashion to get us a good positive outcome.

🚨EMERGENCY ALERT & PUBLIC BOLO!🚨
-Today at 1840 Rush FD was requested by PA State Police to assist in the search of a missing person on Griffis Hill Rd.
Command was established and search conducted with assistance from multiple counties and agencies including PSP helicopter, Broome County and Susquehanna County drones. Units operated until 2246.

‼️BE ON THE LOOKOUT‼️
Missing person is 73 year old Patricia "Pat" Bennett from Griffis Hill. She was last seen today at roughly 10:30 on Griffis Hill rd.
She was last known to be wearing a black floral shirt and blue jeans.

🚒ANY volunteers that are attempting to help with the search tomorrow. The public may join after 0700 (7AM) but MUST check in with the command post near the address of 1595 Griffis Hill rd. PLEASE do not free-lance. This is a multi-county/agency operation and must remain very coordinated and methodical.

This a reminder that the county burn ban remains in effect until April 28th at 11:59pm. We have had an uptick in reported open burns over the last few days, it may have rained off and on but the top layer of vegetation dries out very quickly after rainfall and can easily ignite and burn. We ask that everyone please continue to follow the burn ban until it is finished.
