What an incredible way to honor a very special young lady while helping families with seriously ill or injured children.

Through the overwhelming generosity of our Vermilion Parish communities Team Kaplan was able to raise $2,365 for RMHC-SLA in July!

Thank you to Gallagher for hosting an amazing fundraiser for us last week at Wrong Iron!

The summer interns organized the event complete with raffle and lots of fun. The event raised $5,026.50 and then the incredible folks at Gallagher MATCHED THAT for a total of over $10k!

Four-year-old Blakeley from Mississippi is a true fighter.

She is the only known child in the world to survive her rare genetic disorder. While she awaits a kidney transplant, Blakeley faces complex medical challenges with incredible resilience, breathing through a tracheostomy and receiving dialysis every night.

Recently, she was admitted to Manning Family Children's to treat two serious infections. Through every hurdle, Blakeley’s family stays strong, and Ronald McDonald House South Louisiana is there to support them.

Ever since Blakeley’s journey began at birth with a two-month hospital stay in Texas, her family has traveled back and forth to New Orleans for her specialized medical care. During these trips, our House became their home away from home.

Amid the uncertainty of hospital life, joy still shines through. Blakeley’s mom, Michelle, fondly remembers celebrating her son Lawson’s first birthday right here at the House during one of their stays.

It’s a beautiful reminder that milestones can still be celebrated and happy memories made, even during the toughest of times.

Because of Ronald McDonald House, families like Blakeley’s can stay close to the vital care their child needs.
