ATTENTION TO ORDERS!!!

On August 22, 1942, 4th Marine Aircraft Wing was born as a forward aviation element in support of ground forces during World War II.

Since that time and into the present, Marines and Marine Aviators have responded to the call to service as an indelible buttress to the Active Component. Marines like 1stLt Jefferson DeBlanc represent an 84 YEAR lineage of 4th MAW Marines who step up, stand at the ready, and assume the watch to ensure America continues to thrive and prosper.

On this birthday, 4th MAW stands taller at the memory of those Marines that have gone before us, and look forward to carrying the fighting spirit into the next 84 and beyond!

"The biggest detriment to mission accomplishment is not from the competition, but from within. Having the right mindset and skills is what results in getting results." - General Mattis

Marines from VMM-774 take part in exercise Northern Strike that challenged their readiness, sharpened their skills and ensured they had the proper mindset to get the job done and get home safely. Great job MAG-49 and 774!

4th Marine Aircraft Wing recently hosted its Commanders Conference, bringing together leaders from across the Wing for focused discussion, collaboration, and alignment on the way ahead.

BGen Patrick Tiernan, Commanding General, and SgtMaj Joshua Miller, Command Senior Enlisted Leader, provided comments and guidance centered on the Wing’s priorities and continued efforts to support Marines, Sailors, units, and mission readiness.

The conference included dedicated breakout time for CSELs and Senior Enlisted Advisors, commander-focused discussions across groups and squadrons, and opportunities to strengthen communication and coordination throughout the Wing.

Events like this help ensure leaders across 4th MAW remain aligned, connected, and focused on improving the Wing and supporting the force.
