Our Current Recurring Programs:

Storytime: Every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning at 10:30am. Poetry Buffet: every first Saturday of the month at 2:00pm. Come by and hear some of our city's great local poets read their original work in an intimate setting. Wine & Coloring: every third Thursday of the month at 6:00pm. Coloring sheets, coloring supplies, and refreshments provided! Ages 21 and up. Bookie Boomers Book Club: every second Thursday of the month at 11:00am. Southern Nights Book Club: every second Thursday of the month at 6:00pm. Uptown Book Club: every third Wednesday of the month at 6:00pm. A Book Club Named Desire: every fourth Wednesday of the month at 6:00pm.

All New Orleans Public Library locations will be temporarily closed beginning Monday, March, 16, to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in our community.

Important Library Information to Know During the Temporary Closure:
- Please keep all currently checked out materials until we reopen.
- All due dates and late fines are suspended during the closure.
- All drop boxes are locked and unavailable during the closure.
- The Culture Pass program is temporarily suspended. If you have a pass reservation, please contact the institution to confirm that it is open.

Even though our buildings are closed, nolalibrary.org and our e-Resources are always available to Library cardholders. We offer a large collection of free electronic resources for all ages. You can stay current with trends, catch up on the latest news, watch movies, read books, listen to audiobooks, learn a language, make something creative, and more, all from wherever you are. It's time for Wine & Coloring, one week early!

At 6:00pm this Thursday, February 13th, join us in the Latter Dining Room for wine, snacks, conversation, and of course coloring. Refreshments, coloring sheets, and colored pencils are all provided. See you then!

This Thursday, October 24th, at 6:00pm, Latter Library is having a Tea Time for Winter Health. Herbalist and acupuncturist Kate Iberg will explain the benefits of different teas that can help keep you healthy into cold and flu season. Several teas will be available to sample.

Join us this Thursday, October 17th, at 6:00pm, for the next meeting of the Gay Sci-Fi Book Club. This club travels to different library locations everything month to discuss science fiction titles that explore themes of identity and gender. This month, Latter Library is happy to host the Gay Sci-Fi Book Club as they talk about N.K. Jemison's "The Obelisk Gate (Broken Earth Trilogy Book #2)."

Due to mature content contained in the book selections, this event is open to everyone ages 15 and above.
