Postsecondary Apprenticeship for Youth (PAYCheck) is a program for students with disabilities to gain employment experience through post-secondary courses, career development, learning community and work-related skills, and working paid internships.

Graduation is a big step—and what happens to friendships and social connections after school? This 8-week group helps transition-age youth build confidence, strengthen social skills, and create meaningful connections in adulthood.

WHO IS THIS FOR?
Young adults (18–22) with autism, ADHD, intellectual/developmental disabilities, learning disabilities, or other disabilities who are transitioning into:
Employment or supported employment
Apprenticeships
Postsecondary transition programs
Community-based vocational programs

PARTICIPANTS WILL LEARN TO:
Start and maintain conversations.
Build and strengthen friendships.
Communicate effectively at work and in the community.
Manage loneliness and social anxiety.
Develop self-advocacy and boundary skills.
Find social opportunities and community connections.
Create a personal Social Wellness Plan for adulthood.
