👀 IMPORTAT NOTICE! 👀

Hello fellow Woodson Tigers!

Leland Ellis(Pokey), is seriously interested in planning the Inaugural All Class Carter G. Woodson Junior High School Reunion. The tentative date is Saturday, May 30, 2026, 7:00a.m. - 7:00p.m., at A.L. Davis Park (aka Shakespeare Park). An event of such magnitude will seriously need assistance. He needs people with free time, with the ability and willingness to work, and serious hard workers to work in a variety of ways. A committee will be formed to discuss the plans for this momentous occasion. I’m tagging a few people that I know were interested in the same plans previously so you all may come together with Pokey to make this event the first of many. Ray V. Johnson Sr. Brian Foy Vanessa Cotlong, and any others that are not mentioned.

On Monday, January 31, 2022 my husband, Brian Edward Murray, Sr. Was murdered. I can’t explain how I feel because this doesn’t feel real.

His home-going services will take place on Saturday, February 12,2022 at Franklin Avenue Baptist Church

New Orleans, La. 70126

Jazz Processional & Interment will be at the Mt. Olivet Cemetary

A musical tribute concert & repass will follow at Xavier University Arena.

We are pleased to announce that the WBOK Good Morning Show -- co-hosted by the one and only Ms. Sally Ann Roberts & "The Professor" -- will interview Cohen’s own Mr. Robert McGriff.

Education is a frequent topic on their show and the entire station, and we congratulate Mr. McGriff on the interview and on being selected as Cohen’s Teacher of the Year.

Mr. McGriff will join the WBOK team in-studio on the campus of Xavier University from 8 am - 9 am on Thursday, December 9th.
